Who I am

I returned to college to become a therapist and graduated from California State University, Fresno in 2006 with a Masters of Science in Counseling with a Marriage and Family emphasis. I then worked with children and families in a variety of agencies and county mental health programs. I obtained my license in 2010 and began a part-time private practice. As of July 2015 I have been in full time private practice. I have worked with individuals and families, focusing primarily on treating trauma.

I am trained in a variety of modalities to address a wide range of symptoms. I use Deep Brain Reorienting, Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Somatic interventions, where appropriate.

I view the process of healing as self-guided journey — therapy is but a single tool in a much-larger toolbox. I try to provide a safe place to disclose sensitive or traumatic issues, to begin to address symptoms in a clinically and ethically appropriate manner, and to ensure that you have enough information to make informed choices about your treatment.
